“Children are at the centre of all we do”

At West Heslerton we recycle all sorts of bits and bobs. These are useful to us and help save landfill, earth's resources and provide us with opportunities to support charities with collections.

Packaging

We love to made models and construct from structures. Cardboard boxes, tubes, etc are always useful for us to use to build models. A large green bin is in our hall to collect these items up. These need to be clean please.

Craft items

Ribbons, threads, yarns, buttons and fabric is always useful to us to get creative! Any donations are gratefully received at the school office.

Old clothing

Please look out for our clothes collection dates. Twice a year Friends of the school organise a recycling clothes collection, with all monies raised funding school activities. Please ask at the office for the next planned date.

Stamps

We love to collect used stamps of any type. Please donate used stamps with about 1cm (half an inch) of paper around the edge. We send these to the Royal National Institute for the Blind to provide talking books and resources for people who cannot see as well as us. Our most recent delivery made about £135 for the charity!
